Judith Railton

Judith Railton has exhibited widely in Britain, Europe and America since the 1970's.She curates International fibre art shows, gives talks and runs workshops.

Her recent commissions have included weavings, outdoor and indoor sculptures, garden and sundial designs. She works closely with Norton Priory Museum, Runcorn and Poulton Hall Gardens, Wirral. Judith has recently devised a myserious Puzzle Alphabet.

"I use the garment shape often in my work - joining recycled and new fabrics together in simple ways - stitches, pins, ties. I write words of emotions, thoughts and everyday happenings directly on to the work. Other sculptures are site specific and intensely researched."
